Luigi Rocca, the hyperrealist painter, was born in Porpetto, near Udine, Italy. The second of three children, Luigi was born on December 26, 1952, to Francesca and Edgardo Rocca.

At sixteen, Luigi achieved student renown thanks to his great success in municipal and regional art exhibitions. Figurative art became the focus of his creations, but landscapes also fascinated him. He drew inspiration from the past, without losing sight of the present.

Luigi longed to broaden his horizons. America beckoned him. Thus, without losing touch with his beloved Realism, his art became more contemporary.

In Manaus, at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and with the support of the Brazilian authorities, a solo exhibition of Luigi received very favorable reviews.

Luigi returned to Venice. He exhibits his works at the Melori & Rosenberg Art Gallery, his preferred gallery in Italy. Since then, in collaboration with the gallery, he has exhibited his work in numerous important solo exhibitions.
